The BCRRHRN is holding a grant competition to promote and support the development of new multidisciplinary research teams (a) whose research focuses on a rural and remote health issue, and (b) that is working towards a larger research funding application.
Grant funds will be used by the teams in to assist in recruitment of team members, organize team meetings, review literature and collect other information needed for grant application, or other activities that will contribute to a strong funding application.
BCRRHRN research grants are not designed to fund specific research projects, but rather to help establish a foundation upon which successful rural and remote health research may be conducted.
The goal of this funding program is to encourage and support new, existing, and innovative research on health issues affecting people living in rural and remote areas of BC, and particularly to develop rural research capacity among multidisciplinary teams with an emphasis on creating and nurturing academic-community partnerships.
